Education Week May 6-10

Hello Parents/Guardians,

There are many opportunities for you to come and join us during Education Week.  Our theme this year is Growing in Faith.

On Monday May 6th at 9am we are doing our Jr Division Walk with Jesus.  We will meet in the gym for a prayer service and then will go outside for a walk.

On Tuesday May 7th at 10am in our classroom, the students will be presenting our Education Week Theme, Growing in Faith, through a variety of mediums.  Please join us at our "Lounge".

On Thursday May 9th.  The school will be having our Open House from 6:30 - 8:30.  Feel free to come by and see all the wonderful things we have done this year.  We will also be selling Olive Wood Jewellery in the front foyer with proceeds going to the Halton Children's Education Foundation.

Halton Catholic Children's Education Foundation Fundraiser

We will be selling Handmade Olive wood Jewellery imported from Bethlehem.  Christian families began crafting artwork out of olive wood in Bethlehem more than 300 years ago.  Each piece is truly a unique art form and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

We will be selling 6 different styles of necklaces, bracelets, rings at $12 each and comfort crosses at $15 each.  All profits go to the Halton Catholic Children's Education Foundation.  We will be selling these pieces in the front foyer April 18, 23, 25, 30, May 2, 7, and during the Open House on May 9th in the pm.  Please come out and support a great foundation.

Space Graphic Novels

We are starting to write our own graphic novels based on our Space unit.  Students have been given an outline detailing what is required and can create it in either paper or digital form.  Have fun researching some of the key facts or interesting events that we learned about to include in your graphic novel.
